Wordless Wednesday: My First Black Eye

early 1980's

early 1980’s

See my puffy, bruised eye on the right (technically it’s my left eye)? I climbed right off one of my grandparents kitchen stools and gave myself a lovely black eye. My mom got some interesting stares for a while :)

  1. This is making me wonder if I had a black eye as a child…? I don’t remember having one.

The picture and the story is all there is on this one. I don’t remember having it. I had one other one too that I remember quite vividly but there’s no picture to go along with it. Let’s just say I’m not the most graceful person sometimes. Well, most of the time. :)

  2. Aww, sorry to hear about your tumble, but it didn’t affect your smile in the pic. You look as joyful then as you do now!

Thank you! I don’t think I really knew what had happened. I wonder if it was one of those things where my mom was more freaked out than I was. :)
